Wakubee

Terms of Use

Last updated: June 28, 2026

The short version. Wakubee is a campus companion app for students on iPhone and Android. It is free to use, with an optional one-time "Wakubee Pro" purchase that unlocks extra features — there are no ads, no subscription, and no account. Campus information comes from OpenStreetMap and weather from Open-Meteo, so it can be incomplete or out of date — the app is provided "as is," and you should always confirm important times, places, and routes against your school's official sources. Support lines shown in the app are informational and are not an emergency service.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Wakubee app ("Wakubee", "the app", "we", "us"), published by Aurumiti LLC, which operates the EI Brainiac brand. By downloading or using Wakubee you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Your use is also subject to the rules of the store you downloaded from — Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) for the App Store, or the Google Play Terms of Service for Google Play — which apply in addition to these Terms; where they conflict for store distribution, the store's terms control.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Wakubee on devices that you own or control, as permitted by the applicable app store's terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law.

2. Price and Wakubee Pro

Wakubee is free to download and use, with no advertising and no subscription. It offers an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase called Wakubee Pro, which unlocks additional features (such as calendar export, the live "leave now" countdown, and sharing). Pro is a single purchase, not a recurring charge. All payments, billing, and refunds are handled by the app store you bought from (Apple or Google) under their terms; we do not process or store any payment information. Your Pro entitlement is recorded on your device by the store and can be restored from within the app. If our pricing ever changes, it will be described in the app and in updated Terms before it applies to you.

3. Campus data, walk estimates, and weather

Wakubee builds your campus from OpenStreetMap data and shows weather from Open-Meteo. This third-party data may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, and walking-time and "leave by" estimates are approximations based on straight-line distance and your device's location and clock. Wakubee is a convenience tool, not an official source. Always verify class times, locations, building hours, and routes against your school's official schedule and signage. Do not rely on the app where being on time or in the right place matters and an error could cause harm.

OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under the Open Database License. Your use of features that query OpenStreetMap and Open-Meteo is also subject to those services' terms and acceptable-use policies.

4. Wellbeing and support information

Wakubee may show wellbeing check-ins and a directory of support lines and nearby services for convenience. This content is informational only, is not medical or crisis care, and is not a substitute for professional help or emergency services. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number or a qualified professional directly.

5. User-created and shared content

You are responsible for the information you create in the app and for anything you choose to share or import — for example a free-time, study-session, or group-project code, link, or QR code. Only share with people you trust, and only import codes from sources you trust. We do not review, endorse, or take responsibility for user-shared content.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Wakubee only for lawful purposes, to respect the acceptable-use policies of the third-party services it relies on (such as not making automated bulk requests to OpenStreetMap or Open-Meteo through the app), and not to disrupt, misuse, or attempt to circumvent the app or those services.

7. Intellectual property

Wakubee, including its software, design, and the Wakubee name and logo, is owned by Aurumiti LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Wakubee and EI Brainiac are trademarks of Aurumiti LLC. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding. Map data remains the property of OpenStreetMap contributors.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Wakubee is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app, its data, its notifications, or its estimates will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or timely.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurumiti LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from missed classes, missed events, wrong locations, or reliance on times, routes, or information shown by the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed US $50 or the amount you paid us for the app and any in-app purchase in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater, except where such a limit is not permitted by law.

10. App stores as third-party beneficiaries

These Terms are between you and Aurumiti LLC, not Apple or Google. The app store operators are not responsible for the app or its content. However, Apple and Google (and their subsidiaries) are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to your use of the version downloaded from their store, and may enforce them against you. Any app-related support or warranty claims should be directed to us, not the store, except as required by the store's terms.

11. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features of Wakubee at any time. We may also update these Terms; we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where local consumer-protection laws give you additional rights that cannot be waived.
